A great turnout of 12 Vans was in attendance for this event. The weather was mostly kind to us and as the Park is so close to the beach many members made good use of it to exercise their dogs.
A big thank you to Ron and Lyn Castle for organizing this event. Lyn's efforts in organizing the food for Saturday night was very much appreciated. Ron's efforts with the pancakes on Sunday morning was also appreciated .
This is a great little Park, so close to the Beach and Lake and just a short drive into Town.
The fishing wasn't great but Doug and Jeff managed to land a couple.
All in all , a great weekend, and going by comments made, enjoyed by all.
Keep those wheels turning.
Cheers. John.

NEWSLETTER 2011 .3
G'day all. A busy year so far with one BBq and two Rallies since the last Newsletter. A really good turnout for the BBQ with twenty seven members in attendance. It was a good opportunity to try out our new Portable Pergola. The weather Gods were with us and a very enjoyable day was had by all. It was good to catch up with some members who have been on the sick list. Good to see you have recovered and getting around again.
While the Belmont Rally was a great success, Ron tells me that the new Camp Kitchen is a beauty, it was disappointing to have only seven vans turn up. (See Ron's report below). I know people have other commitments, I was one of them, but we would like to see a greater participation rate.
To this end the committee will endeavour to have next years 'what's on' ready to distribute by the January BBQ so that members can plan their year.
All Rallies next year will have earlier close of dates to be fair to the Park owners. It is embarrassing for the Rally Leaders to have to cancel more than half the sites that the Park Owners could be taking bookings for from other vanners.
Ellenborough Rally earlier this month was a great success with eight vans in attendance and visits from four day trip members. Our new 8m x 8m shelter was used for the first time and was a great asset. The weather was kind to us this time and future Rallies to Ellenborough will probably be in September. (See Doug's report below).
If you haven't booked for the Christmas Rally at Brigadoon as yet, I suggest that you do so soon if you want a particular site.
It is with deep regret that I have to inform members of the passing of Lisa, daughter of Annette and step-daughter of Keith Clarke.
On Behalf of all your friends in the Club I pass on our Deepest Sympathy at your sad loss.
Regards. John Lenihan. President.
