G'day all. We have now managed to have two Rallies after all the rain delays.
The Valla rally was a great success after the rain delay in February. This is a nice Park and I am sure we will return sometime in the future. Next time we will make sure that there is no 'Corroboree' on the Saturday night.
A big thank you to Barbara Byrne for Leading this Rally as you really had to do it twice. You are now exempt 'till next year'. You did a great job and it was appreciated by all that attended.
The Saturday night meal set a new level, thanks to all the 'cooks'. (See Barb's report below).
The Ellenborougha Rally was also a great turnout. It was good to have nice weather, the fire bucket supplied by Wayne was however appreciated by all. Mark and Edna's grandkids loved those marshmallows on Monday Morning.
Doug and Wayne reckoned that there was too much water between the fish, better luck at Manning point.
The liqueur jellies made by Robyn were superb, pity the recipe is an old family secret that can't be disclosed.
It was a great week-end and look forward to going back next year.
See you all at Manning Point.
Keep those wheels turning.
Cheers. John.

Ellenborough Reserve Rally March/April 2012
A turnout of 8 vans (including 1 Visitor) was a good result. The weather Gods were with us with just a little rain on Friday night and the rest of the week-end great.
Annette Clarke has been unwell lately and consequently Keith and Annie had to cancel their trip. Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this time Annie.
With a lesser number of people we were able to have enough shelter with two Pergolas between my annexe and Dons.
Plenty of shelter for happy hour. (see pics). Thanks to all those who helped to erect and dismantle.
Sunday morning breakfast went over well and no one went away hungry. My step-son Andrew came up on Saturday and stayed overnight to test his camping equipment before his Easter trip to Lake Keepit. His cooking skills for Sunday breakfast was appreciated. Thanks Andrew.
Sunday was also the 3rd birthday of Lucas, grandson of Mark and Edna. Their daughter Leah and son-in-law Chris, son Lucas and daughter Matilda were visitors trialing a campervan for the week-end. The chocolate birthday cake was great.
All in all a great relaxing week-end and I must say I have never seen so many vans, motorhomes tents etc there before.
Thanks to all those that attended.
See you all at Manning Point.
Cheers. John.

Valla Beach Rally March 2012
We finally got to Valla Beach after the washout in February. In total 13 vans were in attendance. A very good turnout.
All who attended had a great time and the weather was kind to us this time. Our main meal on Saturday night was exceptional. I must thank all the ladies and gents for the lovely salad dishes, desserts and BBQ skills. Thanks also to the men (and women) who helped Keith erect and dismantle the Club tarp, well done guys.
Thanks to all who helped make this such a great Rally.
Barbara and Robert Byrne.
