Newsletter 2012.4

G'day all.
We have had two Rallies since the last Newsletter, the May Rally at Manning Point and the June Rally at Mylstom.

A good turnout at Manning Point with nine Vans in attendance. Unfortunately Ros took ill and we weren't able to attend. We were disappointed as it is a few years since we were there. From all reports a great weekend. Thanks to Wayne and Karen for a great Rally.

Another good attendance at Mylstom with ten Vans. The weather was reasonably goodand the food and company great as always. The managers say that the BBQ area is going to be expanded to a 'Camp Kitchen' that can be enclosed, this will make this a really great Park. Thanks to Colleen and John for your great efforts with this Rally.

A couple of reminders for upcoming events.

Canberra Safari. We had planned a possible Safari to Canberra and surrounds for approximately 15 days from 13 October. I would like expressions of interest by 30th June. At this time (depending on numbers) we will decide whether to go ahead or not. If we do not have the numbers we will organize a three day Rally
(possibly Scotts Head) and individual members can decide to extend or not.
Please email me johnros1@bigpond.com with a YES or NO.

For the first time since the Club started the Committee has seen the need to increase the Annual Fee.The new fees will be $35.00 double and $22.00  single.
Fees are due on the 1st July.
We would like all fees to be paid by 18th July as we have to pay our Club Fees to the State Association by this date.
Fees can be paid by Cheque to the Treasurer, Bob Jolly, 18 Bundella Ave Lake Cathie 2445, or by Bank Transfer to Westpac Port Macquarie BSB032-586 Account No.247321 Make sure your name is included if doing a bank transfer.OR pay at the BBQ at Telegraph Point on 8th July.

Rally Report Mylstom 2012

The weekend in Mylstom was a great success with ten vans attending. According to the feedback I received, everyone had a great time. The weather was a mixed bag, however it held off on Saturday so that we could enjoy our lunch/dinner, as we decided to hold it mid-afternoon due to the cold evenings. There was a great array of curries which were all fantastic and the same could be said of the delicious sweets that followed. The bar is raised everytime we have these combined meals. Congratulations to all the cooks.Sunday the rains came down and everyone just lazed back and read the papers, although the 'boys' were very interested in Jeff's new 'pig'. A contraption he welded together from parts from several old gas bottles that he now uses as a fire and cooker, particularly when 'free camping'. Very impressive Jeff.
As usual the sun came out on Monday morning as most members were packing up to go home.
Thanks to all those that attended and hope to see you all again soon.
