2015 State Rally Manilla

Carmel and I attended the 2015 State Rally at Manilla hosted by the Tamworth Club. A very interesting and enjoyable time was had by all. There were 104 vans registered at the Showground. Excellent meals and entertainment provided by the host club was well  received. In excess of $1000 was raised for the Westpac rescue helicopter by the raffle which each club donated a prize to. Happy Hours were another story, very long and very happy. (What goes on on tour stays on tour) The 2016 State Rally will be held at Wagga , hosted by Wagga Caravan Club, 4-5-6 March.

Cheers.
Dave.

North Beach Mylestom 21st to 24th March 2015

We had a small attendance of only five vans. But because of the reduced numbers, we got to know each other better over informal chats. Friday was very hot and I took about  three hours to set up our caravan. I finished just in time for Happy Hour. We sat in a group behind Allison and Kevin's van.A lovely s.mall circle. Later some watched the Footy and Jeff went fishing.
Saturday dawned overcast and very humid. Jeff went fishing and caught several Dart. Rain set in in the afternoon and so we decided to go to the Bowling Club for a sit down Chinese instead of a takeaway. We ordered the top shelf banquet. The food was for eight but there was enough for at least sixteen! We took the leftovers back for dinner on Sunday. Jeff went fishing.

It rained on Sunday and so pancakes, lemon, sugar and maple syrup we prepared in the impressive camp kitchen. Everyone sat around afterwards chatting about club matters and generally putting the world to right and keeping out of the rain. Jeff went fishing. We had drinks and Chinese leftovers in the camp kitchen that night and Jeff went fishing.

Monday was dry and warm. Sadly three of us departed, leaving two vans to enjoy the weather and a dry Happy Hour. But not before Jeff went fishing.
Peggy of North Beach Tourist Park looked after everyone and made us all very welcome. I think we may come back here in the near future.

Cheers.
