Rally. North Haven . Christmas 2016

Thirteen vans attended the rally with 28 people attending. With four members not staying at the park we had 32 for the Saturday night Christmas dinner. A big thank you to Carmel and Maureen for running the rally and the food. The food was up to the usual high standard and the sweets were to die for. Thanks also to all those tht helped to set up and clean up after. Thank you also to Ros and Barry for running the present giving. Don and Liz Lewis were our guests on Saturday night.Unfortunately I have to advise that Dons dad passed away last Saturday at the age of 99.Our condolences go out to Don and family. The AGM was held on Sunday and the new Committee is:- President Dave Moore. Vice President Raf Stary. Secretary Carmel Moore. Treasurer Bob Jolly. Committee members. Barry Rasmussen. John Lenihan. Patsy Crabbe. The itinery for has almost been completed and will be available soon. Merry Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year from me Ros and Buster. Cheers. John. Halifax Rally November 2016 Nelson Bay provided its usual natural beautiful charm until the wind arrived..We had 6 vans 1 motor home and 4 dogs, as this was the second rally at this venue this year it was a good turn out.The camp kitchen well located and used for happy hours and Saturday nights BBQ, Thank you ladies for the great salads and sweets. John Lenihan and myself were presented with birthday cakes thanks Ros and Carmel and everybody's rendition of happy birthday.and best wishes. Maureen organised a great tour of Fort Scratchly on Sunday which was very interesting and informative,enjoyed by those who went along with lunch at Wests Mayfield Leagues Club. The fires caused concern with some deciding to stay an extra day or packing up and departing early in case the highway was closed again . Happy Vanning. Dave.
