Seven vans made the trip to Scotts Head. What a change to have some good weather. This Park has only been dog friendly for a few months so we had not had the opportunity to stay there before. Good park, good amenities and right behind the beach and a short stroll through the Park to the Bowling Club. Everyone had an opportunity to do their own 'thing' , dog walking on the beach, fishing and boating but still a little cool for swimming. Happy hours were enjoyed each evening and it was a pleasant change not to have them cut short because of the weather.
Saturday nights dinner was excellent. Many amazing varieties of chicken and some superb sweets. Annette's Profiteroles were absolutely fabulous. A big thanks to all the 'cooks' for making such an effort. Scotts Head is a nice quiet little place and the Park is well maintained, I am sure that we will be making a return visit in the near future. From all the comments during the weekend I think that all attendees had a great time.
Unfortunately Ros and I had to return to Port on Sunday morning to attend our grand daughters first birthday party, we would have dearly loved to stay for a few more days. Several members that waved us good bye did exactly that.
Thanks to those members that attended and we look forward to seeing you all at the Nambucca Heads Rally and Annual General Meeting.
Cheers. John and Ros.
