John was a much respected and esteemed member of our Club
John had been battling cancer for some time and passed away on 21st July.
He will long be remembered attending our Rallies in his orange VW Kombi Van along with his dog Scooby.
With his varied interests in life he always had a tale to tell. He did enjoy happy hours, especially at camps such as Ellenborough Reserve where we could have a fire burning. He always turned up with a plate of food to share.
He was a very gentle man and will be sadly missed by the 'older' members of the Club who had the privilege of knowing him.

Telegraph Point BBQ 8th July 2012

A good turnout for our BBQ with twenty five members, including new members  Phillipa and Max Angel, a big welcome to you both. It was good to have some nice weather , although I was a bit worried when we had some heavy showers over my house on Saturday evening. Past Secretary Garry Stratton and wife Pamela joined us as visitors and it was good to catch up with them again. Also good to catch up with Frank and Jan Margett who for various reasons have not been able to attend  a Rally for a while.
All in all a great afternoon was had by all.
I hope that as many members as possible can make it to the few remaining Rallies coming up for this year.
