Christmas Rally North Haven

G'day all. I'm back. As Wayne stood down as Vice President, even though I am not on the committee
I have been asked to run the Blog.  Also as Barbara and Robert are very busy moving house I have agreed to write the report for the Christmas Rally.

The Christmas Rally was a great success with 26 vans (52 people) in attendance with some staying a couple of days and others for the full week. The food for the Saturday night dinner was absolutely great. A big thank you to all who had a hand in getting  it all together, especially Barbara and Robert.
This is a great venue for a Christmas Rally. The Camp kitchen was more than big enough to accommodate all the members attending.
The winners of the best decorated vans were:-

1 st  Noelene and Geoff.
2nd  Annie and Keith.
3rd   Dave and Carmel.
Congratulations. There were many others that went very close.

The AGM was held on Sunday morning and a new committee elected.
Your new committee is :-
President                   Len Brockett
Vice President           Dave Moore
Secretary                   Carmel Moore
Treasurer                   Bob Jolly
Committee Members Ivan Crabbe, Raf Stary, Liz Lewis,John Baker.
Don't forget the BBQ to kick off the  year at Telegraph Point on 11Th January.
Ros and I (and Buster) wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy and Prosperous New Year.  Cheers. John.

Scotts Head November 2014

Rally Leaders Dave & Carmel Moore

We had a great roll up at Scotts Head. 13 Vans, 1 Motor Home and 1 Love Shack, a total of 15.
A big thank you to everyone for enjoying everything that Scotts Head had to offer. Barb and Edith put their best makeup on for Halloween.
As usual everyone excelled with the presentation of mains and sweets on Saturday night. A big thanks to all that contributed. We had 2 local visitors for dinner and they were amazed at the variety and quality of food,
There was plenty to see and do. Sightseeing to Stuarts Point, Fishermans Reach, Yarrahappini, Coffs Harbour, Valla Beach.  Surfing and fishing was at our doorstep. A few played bowls others just relaxed in the beautiful weather.
19 people attended the Melbourne Cup luncheon at Scotts Head Bowling Club. They included Noeline & Jeff, 2 visitors from Charlestown and 1 from Macksville. Keith, Noeline & Annie cleaned up in our sweep. Not many photos, sorry. Carmel was enjoying herself too much and our resident paparazzi Mark was absent.

Ellenborough Reserve October 2014

Rally Leaders Jeff & Noeline Newham

There were 11 vans, 1 motor home and 1 camper van in attendance for the rally. A total of 24 people. Jeff & Noeline did a fantastic job of coordinating the rally and organized a hamburger night Friday, dinner Saturday & breakfast Sunday. They also bought the dart board for a darts/cricket match, an interesting concept.
They also organized for a group to drive out to Kindee bridge, I didn't even know it existed. A small number of the expert fisherpersons ( I do try to be politically correct, occasionally) managed to catch some fish but the rest of us had to rely on the freezer (again).
The weather was excellent with only a slight amount of rain until Monday afternoon when the weather gods decided that was enough and unleashed a storm of biblical magnitude upon the unfortunate few left ( Mark 'Moses' Townsend had already left but we will blame him anyway). The last photo shows the result.
King Lenny had a birthday and Chris baked a cake. He still insists he's only forty and a bit. But the bit is getting bigger.

Where's the dart board ?

Talk about style !

Now that's 23 plus 15 plus ......

This is serious stuff !
