Evans Head. 16/11/17

Evans Head Rally was a great success with 8 vans plus John and Barb who stayed in Cabin. Wednesday Night was great with loads of Italian food and almost everyone dressed in red for the theme. The weather was not as kind as we would have liked but mostly the rain only came during the night except for Wed, Thur & Fri which was showery, most left on w the Friday and had to pack up in the rain but as we all enjoyed the week it wasn't too bad. Melbourne Cup was fabulous everyone put on their Glad Rags and we had a good time, with plenty on Wine and Champagne. Barry won the best dressed Man on the Day which was good. Cheers. Barry.

Upper Rollands Plains Rally 20_24 Sept 2017

Many thanks to all those who made the trip to Upper Rolland Plains and to all who helped to make it a most enjoyable camp. The site is very good and private, which helped to make it a good friendly atmosphere. Having the large shed as kitchen made it possible for all of us to eat together for most meals and have a good fellowship with each other. We had an abundance of food. The pizza makers did a great job on short notice ( very short notice, about five minutes). and it was great to see all have a go and soure the ingredients from who ever. Noeline and I were blessed by the remarks and praise of all members. On Friday night we had a great night again with BBQ steak baked veges and plenty of sweets followed by pavlova birthday cake to celebrate Liz and Jeffs birthdays. A great night and afterwards to sit around Barry and Cath's pit fire and enjoy each others company , plenty of laughs from jokes etc. I have indicated to the owners of the property that we would like to go there again next year ,possibly March or April or September. Thanks again everyone ,we really enjoyed leading the camp and your great company.Enjoy your camps leading up to Christmas, will see you at some of them. God Bless. Jeff.

A great roll up of 9 vans attended Harrington rally. Those absent on family chores and adventures in the far north will just have to catch up next year. This little hidden gem provided few fish but a lot of fun at the Bogan trivia quiz. Note, the auditors will be out and about should all trivia prize winners again come from the same table! Many took note of the non compulsory itineraries and some even returned with funds courtesy of the local pokies to feed the barbecue on club night. Thanks. Members again excelled with a feast worthy of the finest north coast kitchens. Not a black tie event but definitely bogan practical with tracky dacks and flannos repelling the August chills. However not even the chill winds could disrupt the camaraderie and warmth coming from the happy hours. Some will be off on solo adventures but for the rest of you don't miss Jeff and Noeline's next rally to Rolland Plains Cheers Sharon and Alan
