Dam Rally Report 3rd Leg Unfortunately Maureen and I were not able to do the first 2 legs of the Dam Rally due to prior commitments which was disappointing considering our past experiences with the areas. The 3rd leg was also at an old stamping ground we frequently visited when we resided in the area. The weather was very kind to us and we were lucky we were inland and not on the Coast which received a lot bad weather and rain. Copeton Dam is a great venue with plenty of room and lots of wildlife. Five vans made the effort to do the trip. The evening main meal was Casseroles and Damper as well as Apple Crumble and Impossible Pie. As usual the meal was delicious and plenty to spare. The Damper was an experiment cooking it in a Baby Q in two different ways and another setup for the Apple Crumble which all turned out very delicious. Those who were game had a go at golf on a fairly rough bush course which hadn’t seen much maintenance for a while. We all had fun even though it took over 2 hours to play 4 holes. The winners with the highest scores were Annette and Maureen. Thanks to those who contributed to meals and attending the rally. Bob and Maureen.
